Tree House and Saint George are very special in many ways!

To begin with, our daughter and son have both learnt English thanks to Tree House, where they started at the age of 3 and 2, respectively. Considering that our family is already bilingual without including English, we initially thought that the use of a third language would put the kids under unnecessary stress. The fact is that it has worked very nicely for us! It is true that it took some three months for our daughter to learn the basics from scratch and to adapt to the new language and social environment. But after this period everything has been smooth. Due to his older sister, it has been more natural for our son to start speaking English and to be exposed to the wide variaty of friends from various different races and cultures.

The atmosphere in Tree House is very friendly, which is really important for the kids to feel safe and start learning and developing. Leaving the formal learning and studying aside, which is done professionally, the school has made many visits to external places, including several museums, the zoo and the aquarium, not forgetting the Apple camps and different major parks and farms. This is all very important as not only the kids are exposed to the different subjects, such as the animals from sea and land-- and their real dimensions, sounds and smells! --, but also because the kids have a good chance to experience the joy of being part of a group and making things and visiting places together, not only with their family. In my opinion this aspect is very important specially for foreign families like ours which might otherwise find themselves somehow isolated in Nagoya.

In addition, the headmaster and his team have arranged many extra social activities which have an extremely positive impact on the overall mood around the two schools. Starting with the traditional Haloween and Christmas parties and including the more casual spring/summer picnics and international cousine meetings. They have also arranged the practice of football as an outdoor, collective activity, giving the kids and their parents a great opportunity for having fun! At least I can speak for me and my kids!

We will painfully miss Tree House and Saint George when we go back to our country. The two schools have served as a candid example of the type of environment that we would like for our kids to develop, learn and grow up. I have no doubt that finding similar schools will be a hard task.
We chose Tree House/St. George Academy because they do everything possible to teach and take care of your child well. I recommend the school because all of the kids there are happy and learning the right things. In particular my kids language skills have greatly improved. The well balanced curriculum teaches the basics and stimulates my kids curiosity so they are inspired to learn. And most importantly, from the headmaster at the top of the hierarchy right down to the regular teachers and staff, true dedication to the happiness, safety and success of each child is paramount at Tree House/St. George Academy. –with confidence and trust. Kevin
